Development History
Handy is derived from the English pronunciation of "handy," meaning simplicity. This reflects the company's product design philosophy and operational style. Meanwhile, "Han" refers to China. Handy — an easy-to-use testing instrument produced in China.
1994
In June 1994, Shijiazhuang Handy Electronic Instrument Factory was established and successfully developed a dual-clamp digital phase meter and a circuit breaker tester with a built-in high-frequency switching power supply, model: QP941.
1995
The JS1 relay tester was successfully developed.
1996
The circuit resistance tester was successfully developed.
2000
The Transformer DC Resistance Tester was successfully developed.
2001
The VA1 current transformer volt-ampere characteristic tester was successfully developed.
2002
The QP021 microcomputer circuit breaker tester was successfully developed.
2003
The GKCHD410 High Voltage Switch Tester was successfully developed.
2005
The VA395 and TAC650 microcomputer-based current transformer testers with a built-in electronic voltage regulator were successfully developed.
2006
The TAC750 electronic voltage-regulating current transformer tester was successfully developed.
2008
The CTC760 Transformer Tester, using the frequency conversion method for testing, was successfully developed.
2010
The cabinet-type high-voltage switch testing device was successfully developed and started to be used at Xikai Electric.
2011
The High Voltage Switch Tester based on the ARM platform was successfully developed.
2012
The fully electronic multi-frequency PT induction withstand voltage tester, model PTG720A, was successfully developed.
2015
The high-voltage switch tester with dynamic resistance testing was successfully released, making it more suitable for international market demand.
2016
The fully electronic integrated anti-interference line parameter tester, with current up to 100A, was successfully developed, featuring a small size, light weight, and comprehensive functions.
2017
The switch tester integrated with the MES system was successfully tested at Xikai Electric, and data could be uploaded in real time through a wireless network.
2018
The partial discharge tester and non-partial-discharge variable-frequency power supply were successfully developed.
2019
The successful development of the CDF8200 series dielectric loss tester enriched the variety of Handy products in the field of electrical testing.
2020
The Relay Protection Vector Inspection Device was successfully developed, and the Ultra High Frequency, High Frequency, and Ultrasonic Partial Discharge Detector was successfully developed.
2021
The development of a fully electronic non-frequency transformer grounding device (ground grid) tester was successfully completed.
2022
The successful development of the acoustic imaging instrument added another important product to the field of partial discharge detection.
2024
The current and voltage non-same-source relay protection vector inspection device was successfully developed.
2025
The partial discharge tester HPD5000X was successfully developed, integrating partial discharge detection, infrared thermal imaging, acoustic imaging, and ionized gas detection into one machine.
