GI6815 Grounding Connection Device Parameters Tester

Power-system earth-grid resistance is commonly measured using a high-current, power-frequency method. To reduce interference from the operating grid and improve measurement accuracy, test procedures specify a test current of at least 30 A for this method. As a result, conventional equipment can be bulky, testing procedures complex, and measurement times lengthy.

Instruction

Power-system earth-grid resistance is commonly tested using a high-current, power-frequency method. To limit interference from the operating grid and improve measurement accuracy, the test current for this method must be at least 30 A. Conventional equipment can therefore be cumbersome, with complex test procedures and lengthy measurement times.
The HANDY Grounding Connection Device Parameter Tester uses a variable-frequency AC power supply instead of a traditional power-frequency transformer design, substantially reducing instrument weight. Digital signal processing helps avoid 50 Hz frequency interference, allowing measurements to be taken without a power outage and supporting more accurate test results. The design also simplifies the testing process.
The instrument is suitable for measuring the ground resistance of different grounding devices, as well as touch potential, step potential, voltage gradient, and soil resistivity. It is available in multiple models for measurements on substation ground grids (4Ω), hydrothermal power plants, microwave stations (10Ω), and lightning rods (10Ω).

Features

1. Measures ground impedance, ground resistance, voltage gradient, touch potential, step potential, and soil resistivity to support conventional grounding-network parameter testing.
2. Provides an interfrequency test power supply close to the power frequency, helping separate frequency-related and clutter interference for effective small-signal measurement.
3. Offers high test accuracy and can measure ground grids with very low ground impedance.
4. The all-electronic design eliminates the power-frequency transformer, keeping the instrument compact and lightweight for easier transport.
5. Automatically controls power boosting and completes data measurement and calculation, helping shorten test time and reduce workload.
6. Saves current and voltage waveforms, and supports test-data analysis using upper-computer software.
7. The LCD screen clearly displays the operating interface and test data indoors and outdoors.
8. Built-in memory stores up to 1,000 data sets and retains them when the instrument is powered off.
9. A high-speed thermal printer prints test data.
10. Instrument software can be upgraded using a USB flash drive.
