As distribution networks carry heavier loads, the risk of overheating increases. Regular contact-resistance testing helps identify faults early, before they lead to overheating. The HL100 measures contact resistance in circuit breakers, disconnecting switches, earthing switches, bus joints, bushing contact joints and welding joints. It is also suitable for other low-resistance measurement applications. The tester supplies a 100A DC test current and measures the voltage across the tested object. Resistance is calculated according to Ohm’s law: R = U/I.
Heavier loads in modern distribution networks can increase the risk of overheating. Regular contact-resistance checks help reveal faults before overheating occurs. The HL100 is designed to test circuit breakers, disconnecting switches, earthing switches, bus joints, bushing contact joints and welding joints, as well as other low-resistance applications. It supplies a 100A DC current and measures the voltage of the tested object, then calculates resistance using Ohm’s law (R = U/I).
